alright well for my digital rough I just put in the main concept of my idea. I still want to put the Title in the bridge grey area shown. and above the car I am still going to have the briefcase and papers flying out the window and most likely input a border around the poster itself. I am also thinking about doing the whole poster in hand drawn and not photo base because I am experiencing little problems when trying to make it photo based.

Hey Kevin,
I really like what you have so far. It might be interesting to see what the poster would look like hand drawn, but I think the compilation of photos you used are working really nicely. I also really like that it’s black and white. It has a film noir feel to it. I might consider working with the broken pieces of the bridge to make them look more splintered and like they are exploding out. Right now they look like they’ve just been lightly pushed (and miraculously broken into perfectly identical pieces). But overall I really like where it’s headed.
hayyyy kevin!
this looks really cool. i like the rain. it has a old-fashioned suspenseful feel.
i think if you make the actual crash impact way more intense, the message will be clearer.
i kind of like how you have used the photos. while i think drawing it would be interesting, i just dont know if it would have the same feel as it does now.
are you going to add any color to it? like in the type areas? im just curious.
awesome job so far!!!
I think this has turned out great and I don't think you should hand draw it. Really it looks fantastic! I agree with Gil. And Can't wait to see the font =)
oh, i love your rough so far! the heavy rain definitely adds up so much!
for the type-placement: i think you can put in on the bridge but then i would go for a colored type, maybe red.
i think it was a good choice to go with the photographic design. so far a great start! i am really curious how it will turn out in the end!!!
good weekend, eva
Kevin,
I'd agree with your classmates—don't hand draw it. Keep the photos going. Try and finesse what you can. Add the details you can. And I'll try and help you in class to resolve what you're wrestling with. The film noîr comment is dead-on. You'll lose that with anything but a very specific type of illustration.
