So here is my digital rough. I'm thinking there is too much white space, but I'm not sure what to do with the background. I'm also not sure of the placement of the text either. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, I hope your weekends start off better than mine!

Hey Jackie,
I like the disco / neon club aesthetic you have going. I think the font you’re using works really great for the band’s name.
I was thinking that you could experiment with the size of the blood running down her lip. It was hard to see until I zoomed in. It might be interesting to have more of a pool of blood around her, or running from the body. In terms of the background, I think the lights are working great. You may also consider putting some rough halftone or Xerox textures to see what type of effect that creates (When I saw the dead body I thought of a newspaper article – the combo of that and the disco colors might be a nice contrast). Also, you could try putting different blocks of color behind the body to differentiate her more from the background.
i also like the light effect you have going on. The illustration of the girl is good too. Agreeing to add a rough texture to it would add to the piece itself but it is looking good
hi jackie!
wow. you did an amazing job to transfer your handdrawn rough into a digital one. i really like the concept with the dead girl and the disco lights.
for the white background, maybe you could integrate some kind of cool floor the girl is lying on to enhance the 3d effect you have?
the font you chose goes very well with your song and the band. i like how the "metric" flows in and out of the page. did you think about creating an neonlight effect?
Jackie,
It's looking much better than the vector version! Glad you redrew it. I'd definitely lower her on the composition. Almost to the very bottom. And I'd lose the white background. What if it was black? then her and the lights would stand out so much more. The idea of upping the blood factor is a good one—not so it becomes gory…but more so it is actually visible. Not a ton…just a touch. You might also want to add a bit of detail to the neck-shoulder-clavicle-top-of-breast area.
I like this idea a lot, and I think it's looking pretty great. One thing that really stuck out to me right away is that the white background sort of takes away from the disco feel with neon lights and stuff. I think if you made the background a dark color or even black, it would create a dark, energetic atmosphere that would take your direction even further. I guess my only other criticism is that her forehead looks too long.
