Veronica Digital Rough

Hey all,
so this is the digital rough; some things I plan to do between now and class:
1) edit the black space and penlines so they are even, no white space between them, and look more polished
2) resize the text, fill it in (maybe, might have to leave it white)
3)reposition the people, since the alterations I made from my sketch threw them a little off balance
4) I may or not be able to color everything before class, but of course they arent going to be green
5) play around with blur/fade/gradient for the glowing around them.

Each component is on a different layer in photoshop, so it should be easy for me to edit and play around with.
I did not change a lot from my original sketch, just redrew some anatomy and cleaned up the lines. I am relying on the illustration to draw interest in the poster and the lines to draw your eye to the text.

This looks great so far, are you going to give the people a neon green glow? That would be pretty sick.

hay veronica!

i really like your illustration... it definitely draws your eye to the poster & text. are you going to darken the space around the figures more? maybe that will help pop them out more. also, i feel like all the text should be filled in white. right now you only have a few that are outlines, but those seem to get lost. if you still wanted to keep that outline effect, maybe you could just darken those lines more.

have a good weekend!

Be careful not to put your text too close to the edge of the poster. I would thicken the black lines around the aliens to make them pop a bit more. The white circle at the bottom kind of draws my eye in, maybe you can have Alien Ant Farm in the top left and the other info in the bottom right. All in all, I think this is great and can't wait to see the finished product.

Veronica,

This is off to a good start. Bring your drawing in on Tuesday so I can take a look at that too. Definitely bring some color in, and see if you can make the background not minimize the linework on your figures. I'd consider making the background solid (with no visible pen/marker lines). Then, push it back to a dark gray, and push your linework up to a really dense black. You want them to really stand out.
