here are the variations of the logo for the pastry shop bittersweet. i got inspired by old barock ornaments in combination with a more modern look. i tried to achieve this by using fresh colors that also play off the name: yellowgreen (bitter) and pink (sweet) in combination with gold. i will probably emboss some lines+ornaments or the type or work with goldfoil.
happy easter all!! :)

So many choices! I think I like the 2nd one the best. I like the ornate frames, but making them blend in with the rest of the frame really appeals to me. I also like the angular shape of the box around the words. And I don't know if you need "pastry shop" but if you do keep it, I think it'd be best to make it in a more legible font.
Hey Eva,
I really like the color choice you have that correlate with Bitter & Sweet; making the “bitter” green and the “sweet” pink works well. I also agree with Max on the angular shape you have around the text. In the variations you’ve shown, I think the box works best in number 3. The “pastry shop” doesn’t really flow well above the Bitter and Sweet, but I think it could work well below it. In terms of the ornate decoration, I don’t really feel like it fits. This particular shape seems to be gaudy and unnecessary. You’re logo would work fine without it, but if you do have an ornamental swirl I would try to integrate it better with the logotype. Overall, I definitely get the feeling for a pastry shop. Good job.
I think I would try and work between 2 and 3. I like the light fill with 3, but I think the more detailed ornaments don't work very well—it's too much. I'd try and even simplify it from what you have with 2. Perhaps more like the ones in your sketches that still felt very Baroque…but also resembled cupcakes?
I'd also agree about the words "Pastry Shop". I'm not sure that you need them…but if you do, I'd simplify them and make them more legible. Right now they compete with the other elements, and since they're a little difficult to read (especially smaller) it's not helping clarify what Bittersweet actually does.
Lastly, I think the word "bitter" works best green and sweet works best "pink."
