This is the digital rough for my business's logo. It's supposed to represent two pieces of fruit coming together and blending to create a delicious, mouthwatering drink.
Hey Max, I like the organic feel you’ve used for the two pieces of fruit. I also really like that you have some of the fruit juice squirting out. The only thing that confuses me is what type of fruit is being combined? Also, I really like the transparent overlapping of the fruit. However, the color that the overlapping creates is kind of brownish – not very refreshing looking. I would see if you could either change the color of both pieces of fruit, or even change the overlapping color (even if it’s not true to what it really would be) to make the combination of the fruit look more appealing.
i really like your idea here!! the colors are very warm and summery. however i agree with gil on the overlapping situation. also, is it possible to maybe form the fruits into a bottle-shape... or something? that might not look good but maybe you could use two fruits that could form a shape like that to identify them easier? just a thought.
the other thing is the type used for the company name. it makes me feel like its moving around and i just want it to stay put! haha. perhaps if you gave it a solid color with a few letters having a different color and have it be in a cursive-like handwriting.... that way the letters would still be "blending" together, but the viewer wont feel the need to hold them still.
Max, I have to agree with Gil and Danielle, the color the two fruits make is icky. Maybe try yellow and orange or a diff green? I think the juice is very clever. As for your text, it makes me feel like I'm looking at something psychedelic--maybe that's what you intended, but it's a little hard to read. Maybe don't have the colors separate so much and have them more blended.
