So I am still messing around with this idea. I really like how Jolly Rogers sounds and I am a fan of the typeface. I am thinking I can make the skull out of the 'O' but maybe make it a little better? and maybe give him a bandanna or something. Not really sure if it works out though?

I really like the first one. It looks like it could be kinda classy if you wanted but it could also go in another direction. I like the font, try to work on the kerning (I think). You could even make new euphemisms for getting drunk.

i agree with max that the first one seems to be the more successful one right know.
the idea with a skull in the "o" is nice, too. but i would be careful of the direction you are heading to with this idea. so far it looks a bit too playful for this kind of strong stuff - just my personal taste.
for the first one: maybe you could play a bit with the positioning of the anchor? just a thought...

Yeah, I think the skull is way too playful. You described this as the kind of drink that will put hair on your chest. That second logo feels like a little boy playing pirates. The skull could be a good idea…but it would have to look very different from that one.
The first one is working pretty well. It's pretty simple, straight-forward, and somewhat predictable, though. I like the typeface. Perhaps if you found one that had a longer leg on the "R" that broke the baseline and swept down under the "S"?
