Here is my card with a book across the back stretching to the front of the card. Logo and Logotype are displayed on the front of same size.
Second idea is having the book cover as the back with the website over it...and a open book on the front side of the card displaying the logo and information on each page

Hey Kevin,
The logo is looking really good. I like that you took the stand out, and I really like the addition of the book in the logotype. My only suggestion would be to experiment with different line widths in the actual graphic. By adding some variation along the outline of the globe and the book that rest upon it might make it a little bit more dynamic.
Both cards are really nice, I especially like the way that the first one continues on to the back. However, I really like the second card best. The photocopied book pages that the information is on gives the card a really nice touch. The weathered book on the front looks really great too, but I might try to obtain imagery for both the front and the back of the book. The symmetry of the front and back looks cool, but not very realistic for an old book. I really like the way you’ve worked these out though. Very cool.
Kevin,
The logo's looking better. However, you've still gotta lose the strokes. Yep, all of them. It will look better w/o them, and will still hold up fine.
While I really like the idea of the second card, I'm afraid if you don't get a full open cover to use for the back, it won't work very well. And I think the first card is working pretty well. I'd consider adding that green over the top of the photo though, either as a duotone, or overlaying the color with a Multiply, Color, or Overlay blending mode (in Transparency palette).
Hey Kevin, I think the first business card works out really well. I think you should look into changing the typeface on the left part though and maybe making Books slightly smaller on the right.
